Peelaway 7 paste is an environmentally safe formulation designed to safely remove multiple layers of most architectural and domestic paints as well as many industrial coatings. It can be used on virtually all interior and exterior surfaces, vertical and overhead and is excellent for intricate, carved and moulded surfaces.
Peelaway 7 is highly effective on modern paint systems but less so on very old paints such as were used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Peelaway 1 typically works better on these older paints.
The paste is applied by spatula, brush, trowel or sprayed* over the surface to be removed, and covered with the Peelaway poultice blanket for the required time (dwell time). A spatula or trowel would be recommended if applying a thicker coat. With a single application it can remove up to 20 coats of architectural, domestic, industrial or marine coatings without producing any potentially dangerous fumes or toxic particles.
When the process is complete the blanket, paste and paint are removed with the cover retaining paint which may contain toxic particles from the old paint preventing them becoming airborne.
Please note blankets and spatula are located just inside the lid for all three sizes of Peelaway 7.
*When spraying dilute up to 1 part water to 5 parts Peelaway 7. We recommend an airless sprayer suitable for heavy materials with a medium to coarse tip size. Where Peelaway 7 has started to dry out within the tub, adding small amounts of water at a time whilst mixing will return the paste to its original consistency.
Always carry out a test patch first. It is possible that this product will work more slowly in temperatures below 5°C and stop working below 0°.
Application: 1mm-6mm thickness dependant on age and thickness of the coating to be removed (this will be determined by the test patch). Coverage is approximately 1m² per kg for Peelaway 7, for Peelaway 1 the coverage is reduced by 20%. Dry time 2-48 hours depending on paint/coating type and number of layers.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
