How much do I need?
Fiddes Hard Wax Oil blends natural oils and waxes together, creating outstanding toughness and resilience for wooden flooring and other internal woodwork.
Guaranteed not to peel or flake, Fiddes Hard Wax Oil can be used on Wooden Flooring, Furniture, Kitchen Worktops and Doors where there can be a high extent of wear. Conforming to the EN71 safety standard, it is suitable for application on children's toys.
To clean a Hard Wax oiled finish use Fiddes Surface Cleaner, tough enough to clean but gentle enough not to damage the Hard Wax Oil finish.
Tip: Fiddes Hard Wax Oil Clear will naturally darken the wood it is applied to, a few droplets of water onto the bare wood would indicate the natural colour the oil will bring out.
If you require the wood to stay as light as possible or avoid Pine yellowing, use Fiddes Hard Wax Oil in Natural (Previously called Oak Lightening). Two coats are recommended.
Preparation and Application: Make sure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free of any previous finish. Sand the surface with a 150 grit abrasive and remove all traces of dust. It will not require priming or thinning. Stir well both before and during application.
This oil should be applied at room temperature in well ventilated conditions. Apply the first coat thinly using a good quality brush following the direction of the grain. Allow 4-6 hours drying time or preferably overnight. Apply the second coat in the same way as the first.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
