Description

Each Kit of Peel Away 1 contains a bottle of neutraliser. However, the quantity of neutraliser required can depend on the porosity of the substrate. So, we sell this spare 1L bottle for when more is required.

How to apply

After using the Peelaway 1 kit, ensure surface is fully dry before applying neutraliser.
Dilute the neutraliser. For plaster/calcareous surfaces, dilute 1:4 (neutraliser:water) and for other surfaces: dilute 1:1.
Apply by spray - Barrettine recommends an airless sprayer suitable for heavy materials with a medium to coarse tip size - working lightly from the top down until the surface is fully saturated. For calcerous surfaces (e.g. stone or masonry), excess neutraliser may damage the surface, so proceed with caution.
Leave for at least 6 hours (or until touch dry) and then gently brush away salts. The effectiveness will be enhanced by scrubbing the surface once the Neutraliser has been applied. Do not scrub plaster or Gesso.
Allow 24-48 hours for full drying before pH testing. Repeat neutralisation if the surface is above pH 8.
