This is a quick drying water-based undercoat for use with Dulux Heritage paints in order to achieve a high level of protection and quality of finish on interior wood and metal work.
In preparation, ensure that the surface is in good condition, clean and dry. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down, ideally using 'wet flatting' methods if possible, then wipe down with a damp lint-free cloth.
Take extra care if preparing pre-1960s surfaces as lead paint may be present. Any wood knots should be treated with a suitable knotting agent to prevent seepage from discolouring the paint. Any surface defects in the wood should be treated with a suitable filler before painting.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use and apply by brush, roller or spray. A good quality synthetic brush will give the best results. It is good practice to dampen the brush and surface to increase flow out. The minimum temperature in which this product can be used is 8°C. If using a sprayer, most conventional sprayers will be satisfactory. An airless sprayer will need a minimum working pressure of 138 bars with a spray tip size of 0.43mm and a spray tip angle of 60°.
Thinning will only be necessary if this product is being used as a primer on bare wood, n which case mix 1 part water to 20 parts paint. Previously painted surfaces will require one coat while bare surfaces will need two. Drying time is dependent on temperature and humidity.
Please note that newly painted doors and windows should not be tightly closed until the paint has fully dried.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
