Liberon Steel Wool is produced using a high quality steel to create crumble and dust resistant wool that is virtually oil free. Liberon steel wool is endorsed by the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
Liberon Steel Wool 100g is available in selected grades - 0000, 0 and 2
Product use:
Grade 0000: Polishing and cleaning delicate surfaces
- Use to cut back between coats of French Polishes, varnishes and oil finishes
- Use to clean and polish metals such as bronze, copper, chrome, stainless steel and aluminium
- Use to cut back between coats of varnish or paint
- Use with soapy water to clean and polish porcelain, marble and glass without marking
Grade 00, 0 & 1: Light cleaning and surface preparation
- Use with Liberon Wax and Polish Remover to remove built-up wax polish, smoke and dirt on wood
- Use to clean, smooth and prepare wood or metal surfaces before re-polishing, waxing, varnishing or painting
- Use with a suitable solvent for light to medium cleaning of all metals
Grade 2, 3 & 4: Heavy cleaning and paint and varnish removal
- Use with Paint Remover to remove softened French Polishes, varnishes, lacquers and paints from wood and metal surfaces
- Use to remove rust
- Grade 4 can be used in pest control
If in doubt use a finer grade of Liberon Steel Wool
High quality steel wool is recommended for cleaning, preparing and maintaining wood and metal finishes. 0000 Steel Wool is ideal for applying wax polishes.
Please note, always test products on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for compatibility and end results. Steel wool has the potential to turn Oak black, so it is therefore not recommended for use on Oak surfaces.
Precautions: To avoid cuts never tear steel wool, cut to size with scissors or shears and always protect your hands with gloves when handling. After using steel wool wipe the surface with a damp lint free cloth which will clean the wood and lift any residual steel wool debris.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
