Key Features
Lumberjack Triple Action Wood Treatment is a low odour, all in one wood preservation treatment that protects and treats damage from wet rot, dry rot, fungi, and wood boring insects, their eggs and larvae.
It is a fast drying and non-flammable treatment that can also be applied to wet timbers without affecting its performance. It is solvent-free and absorbs deep into the wood for long lasting protection. The fungicides, algaecides and Permethrin within Triple Action are very finely dispersed so that wood absorption and therefore effectiveness, is much greater than standard wood preservers. Lumberjack Triple Action is suitable for interior or exterior use.
Areas of use: Interior or exterior joinery including furniture, doors and windows, fences, sheds, joists, rafters and floorboards. It can also be over painted, stained or varnished when dry.
NOTE: This product should not be used on food preparation surfaces.
Application: Make sure that the work area is well ventilated both before application and for at least an hour afterwards (until the treatment has dried). The surfaces to be treated must be clean and free from previous finishes such as paint or varnish and grease or any other potential surface contaminants. Replace any decayed timber before proceeding.
Shake the tin well and apply with a good quality general purpose brush, sprayer or dip the timber. Two coats minimum will be required if spraying or brushing, applying the second coat before the first is fully dry paying particular attention to the end grain, which will benefit from being thoroughly soaked. If possible, dip the end grain for 3 minutes for the best protection. Clean up any spills right away with warm soapy water.
* As the gestation period of larvae can be up to 3 or 4 years we suggest checking the treated surface on thicker timbers annually to see if any further infestation has occurred. Usually dust can be seen around new holes - old holes could be wax-filled as an aid to identifying new holes.
Coverage: 3-4 square metres per litre
