Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, undamaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package. Find our Refund Policy here.
To start a return, you can contact us at info@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer require the item, please organise the return online with a carrier company.

Rustins Exterior Wood Oil
Key Features
Rustins Exterior Wood Oil is a water-borne, quick drying blend of natural plant oils and unique ingredients to protect and enhance both exterior and interior solid wood and veneer.
It absorbs into the wood and dries to leave a water resistant hard wearing finish and contains additional UV filters to protect against sunlight damage.
Rustins Exterior Wood Oil is low odour and suitable for use on soft and hardwood and will bring out the natural colour and beauty of the timber. When dry it is suitable for use in food contact areas.
In preparation, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, smooth and free from any potential contaminants. If the surface has been waxed then this can be taken off with a Wax and Polish Remover. Paint or varnish can be taken off with a suitable remover.
Oak and softwoods can be prone to staining as moisture activates naturally occurring mould spores in the wood. Therefore these timbers should first be treated with a wood preservative.
Apply a liberal first coat by brush and allow to dry without wiping. Further coats can be applied by brush or cloth and any surplus oil wiped away after a few minutes. Nibs can be removed by applying the initial coat of the oil with a scouring pad, rubbing in the direction of the grain. Ideally this oil should be applied in temperatures between 15-25 degrees C. Do not apply below 10 degrees or if rain is expected. Wood will require re-oiling at least annually. Horizontal surfaces and very exposed areas will need more frequent maintenance. Before recoating, clean the surface with White Spirit, lightly sand and then re-apply the oil.
