Peelaway 1 is a water based alkaline paste formulated to safely remove multiple layers of most architectural and domestic paints as well as many industrial coatings containing oil, lead, polyurethane or water from wood, brick, stone, steel, iron, concrete, marble, decorative plaster cornices and plaster walls. It will also remove painted wallpaper. This product could potentially react adversely with Aluminium or Zinc, so a small test patch would be advised to determine the product's suitability.
Please note blankets, spatula and neutraliser are located just inside the lid of both sizes of Peelaway 1.
Peelaway 1 can be used on virtually all interior and exterior surfaces, vertical plus overhead and is excellent for intricate, carved and moulded surfaces. As such, it is a popular choice when carrying out restoration of period buildings. The paste is applied by spatula, brush, trowel or sprayed* over the surface to be stripped and covered with the Peelaway poultice blanket for the required time (dwell time).
When the process is complete the blanket, paste and paint are removed with the blanket retaining the stripped paint which may contain toxic particles from the old paint and preventing them becoming airborne. *When spraying dilute up to 1 part water to 5 parts Peelaway 1. We recommend an airless sprayer suitable for heavy materials with a medium to coarse tip size.

Always carry out a test patch first. It is possible that this product will work more slowly in temperatures under 5°C and will stop working if the temperature drops below 0°.
If needed, spare blanket and neutraliser are available.
Application: 1mm-6mm thickness dependant on age and thickness of the coating to be removed (this will be determined by the test patch). Coverage is approximately 1m² per kilo at 1mm thick for Peelaway 7, for Peelaway 1 the coverage is reduced by 20%. Dry time 2-48 hours depending on paint/coating type and number of layers.
Note: Must be neutralised before repainting with the neutraliser supplied in the pack.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
