Fiddes Clear Glaze is an easy to use, solvent-based polyurethane varnish formulated to give a very high standard of resistance and protection on most types of interior wood surfaces. It dries to a clear finish and is available in matt, satin or gloss sheens.
Fiddes Clear Glaze is ideal for floors, doors and working surfaces, where a hard wearing premium finish is required. It can be used over solvent or water-based stains
Preparation and Application: Before you start, make sure that the area is very well ventilated, before and after applying Clear Glaze. All surfaces will need to be clean, dry and free from any previous finish. Sand the surface with a 120 or 150 grit abrasive. If there are any cracks or knot holes, they can be filled using a gel filler and the dust from the sanding process.
Stir thoroughly before and during use and make sure that it is at room temperature. 2 coats are recommended on hardwoods and 3 coats on softwood. It can be thinned by 10% with White Spirit if necessary. Application can be by floor brush or good quality bristle/synthetic brush, evenly in the direction of the grain. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours. Subsequent coats should be applied as per the first, de-nibbing between coats.
For routine cleaning, just wipe with a damp cloth and leave to dry. Occasionally a treatment with Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner is advised. After long periods of wear and tear, the sheen can be restored with an application of Fiddes Floor Wax.
Tip: The use of household detergents and cleaners should be avoided as they have the potential to degrade the finish.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
