Rustins Quick Drying Outdoor Clear Varnish is a water-based clear, non-yellowing varnish that dries quickly and is available in gloss or satin sheens. It has minimal effect on the colour of the wood it is applied to. Rustins Exterior Varnish contains UV and fungicidal protection, giving superior resistance against blistering, cracking and peeling.
It leaves a long lasting protective finish to external wood, which allows the natural wood grain to show through. It is suitable for use on window frames and doors, plus garden furniture, summer houses, conservatories and much more. It can also be used to seal concrete.
In preparation, ensure that the surface is clean, dry, smooth, in sound condition and free from any potential contaminants. Repair any large cracks, open joints or areas of damage with a good quality flexible filler. Oily or resinous woods should be washed with white spirit prior to varnishing. If the wood is to be coloured then treat with Rustins Wood Dye before applying the varnish.
Apply liberally in the direction of the grain by brush. On a hot day the first coat can be diluted up to 15% with water to aid adherence. It may be necessary to lightly sand after the first coat if the grain is raised.
Ideally the product should be applied in temperatures between 15-25°C. Do not apply below 10°C, in high humidity or if rain expected. Also, avoid applying to hot surfaces or in strong sunlight.
It is likely that a re-coat will be necessary after 2-3 years. When this is needed, clean the surface with a mild detergent and lightly sand to provide a key.
* Stir well before use - satin sheens may dry glossy if the tin is not stirred thoroughly enough.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
