Fiddes Light Fast Water Stains, are easy to use and are formulated to give a consistent depth of colour for use on all interior wood surfaces. They are suitable for use under any of Fiddes wood finishes such as Hard Wax Oil or Clear Glaze.
Fiddes Light Fast Water Stains can be applied by hand or spray, giving a clean and consistent appearance with outstanding light fast characteristics. it is suitable for use on Fine Furniture, Doors, Floors, Cabinet work and Panelling
Preparation
Sand the wooden surface in varying stages, beginning with a medium grade sandpaper (120 grit) through to a medium/fine grade (180-240 grit). Always ensure sanding is in the direction of the grain pattern and remove any marks and glue residue prior to application of Fiddes Light Fast Water Stains. Make sure all sanding dust is removed and always test Fiddes Light Fast Water Stains on a discrete area to establish the finished result.
Application
Stir well before use and apply with a lint-free cloth or foam pad and work in the direction of the grain. Any surplus stain must be wiped up immediately with an absorbent cloth, also wiping in the direction of the grain. For a consistent colour when applying by hand, always wipe evenly blending the stain over the whole area by exerting a degree of pressure.
If needed additional coats can be applied which will deepen the existing colour. There is no need to sand between coats. Leave to dry before applying a final finish.
These stains can be intermixed with a small amount of Fiddes Light Fast Water Concentrate to fine tune the colour to achieve a close match for an existing finish.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.

If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
