How much do I need?
Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil gives outstanding durability and resistance on all external joinery and woodwork. Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil is a blend of natural oils and resins, creating a transparent satin finish.
Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil contains UV filters to prevent discolouration from the sun. Guaranteed not to peel or flake, with a finish that is water repellent and weather resistant. It is an excellent choice for use on exterior wooden doors, window frames and wooden gates.
In preparation, make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of any previous finish. On old wood, make sure that any fungal growth, mould or dirt has been removed and treat the timber with a preservative. Sand with a 120 grit abrasive and remove all dust. If the wood has gone grey over time. it can be restored to its original colour with a wood reviver.
If the wood has been previously oiled then it should be lightly sanded and all sanding dust removed. Any cracks or splits that have developed can be filled with an exterior wood filler. If it's been a while since the wood has been treated then apply a preservative to guard against fungal growth and wood boring insects. Once dry the High Build wood oil can then be applied
Apply in dry conditions and stir the contents both before and during the application process. Brush on evenly, following the direction of the grain. Allow to dry and then sand lightly with a 320 grit abrasive. Apply the second and third coats as per the first but there will be no need to sand after the final coat is dry.
If re-applying to a surface previously treated with Exterior High Build Wood Oil, sand lightly with 150 grit abrasive and re-apply.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.

If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
