Key Features
The New Formula Briwax Wax Polish has all the same application and finish characteristics of the Briwax Original, including identical colours, but without the strong Toluene solvent smell (Toluene Free).
Restorate has worked with Briwax to ensure that the fast surface and colour build is achievable in exactly the same way as the Original Briwax.
The Briwax colour range remains unchanged but the new formula is only available in colours that are no longer available from the manufacturer.
Made from a blend of beeswax and carnauba waxes, Briwax Wax Polish lends an instant sheen to both finished and unfinished timber. Although traditionally used in the pine industry, Briwax Original Polish is suitable for all types of wood and is used to finish everything from wood carvings to skirting boards.
As a result of being extremely fast drying, the polish is ideal for work that requires a fast turnaround. If you are seeking a greater sheen and more durable finish all you have to do is apply and buff the polish several times. For safety reasons, only apply Briwax Original Wax Polish in a well-ventilated area and wear Nitrile Gloves while doing so.
If stored in temperatures above 20°C, Briwax Wax Polish may soften or liquify. If this happens, replace the lid and store in a cool place until it has returned to its original form.
Key Features:
-
Suitable for use on both finished and unfinished wood.
 -
Extremely fast drying.
 -
Can be applied multiple times to develop sheen and durability.
 -
Simple to apply.

Preparation: Unsealed wooden surfaces should be dry, smooth and clean. Bare wood should be lightly sanded and the dust removed with a tack cloth.
Application: Briwax Original Wax should be applied using stockinette, quality brush or 0000 Steel Wool. Apply the wax along the grain and when dry (5-10 minutes), buff to your desired finish with a clean piece of stockinette or cotton rag. Alternatively use a soft Furniture Brush or Pine Drill Brush for large surface areas.
A professional appearance, improved shine and more durable finish can be obtained by sealing the wood. To achieve this, brush along the grain with Shellac Sanding Sealer before using Briwax Original wax polish.
For pre-finished furniture and antiques, check compatibility, then apply Briwax Original Wax in small areas with a clean soft cloth.
