Returns Policy

If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Key Features

Rubio Monocoat Pre-Aging Smoke Light Coloured Water Based Pre-treatment is a non reactive wood stain, perfect for achieving a deep, rustic colour while keeping the woodgrain visible.

The Pre-Aging formula is non reactive, low odour, PH-neutral and stable dye that colours all parts of the grain and is easy to reproduce on all indoor wooden surfaces.

Applicable to nearly all woods, the pre-treatment adds further character when finished to the Rubio Monocoat 2C Wood Oil.

For best results:

Sand the wood with P100 through to P150 grit abrasives
Vacuum or use a tack rag to remove excess dust from the grain
Shake the container thoroughly and decant into a mixing cup
Apply with a sponge or microfibre pad, keeping a wet edge
Leave for 24 hours to dry
Smooth out the raised wood grain with a Red Pad
Vacuum and/or use a tack cloth to remove dust from the grain
Apply a finish, such as the Rubio Monocoat Plus 2C Wood Oil

Where to apply:

All interior wooden surfaces from floors to window frames, from kitchen tops to bathroom floors.

Suitable for use on wood veneers, MDF and solid wood
Applicable to all exotic woods and Accoya

Once the applicator has been used with Rubio Monocoat Plus 2C Oil, submerge it in water or leave outside, away from plants. The Linseed Oil base in the Plus 2C oil is self combustable when left in applicators to dry.
