Ronseal One Coat Everywhere Paint Oatmeal

Ronseal One Coat Everywhere Paint is Ronseal's first interior paint general decorating paint. It has been specially developed to be high coverage, tough and washable, grease, stain and mould resistant, and quick drying.

The water based formula dries to a matt finish. Unlike any paint on the market this paint is perfect for all interior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, furniture, radiators, bathrooms, kitchen cabinets, fireplaces, skirting and more. 

Another stand out feature of this product is the price point. We are offering this paint at £25.95 Including VAT for a 2.5L, which will cover 25 square metres with just one coat. No primer required.

However in our tests we found that if you are overcoating a bold colour or an oil based gloss paint, a quick sand and 2 coats is required for the best results. We found the application of the product very smooth and easy, with great opacity. When applied with a good quality microfibre roller and synthetic bristle brush, the paint gave a very smooth and non streaky finish.

Preparation

The better the preparation, the better the finish!

For new plaster, wait for at least 7 days after the plaster has been applied, then use a sealer or primer paint, such as Dulux Trade Supermatt.

For previously painted surfaces, sanding is not necessary, but for the best, smoothest results, sand with P120. Once sanded, wipe the walls with a damp cloth or tack rag to remove any residual dust.

For unpainted metals, particularly ferrous metals such as steel and iron, it is best to use a specialist metal primer.

Application

To be one coat, this paint has a lot of pigment in, which is heavy. Hence, the pigment will sink to the bottom. We recommend a thorough mix, scraping the bottom of the tub and stirring in a figure of 8 until smooth. 

If you are doing a large area and have multiple tins, we recommend mixing the two together as there can be slight tone differences in any paint if they are from different batches. If you are painting out of the tin, when you are half way through the tin, pour in half of the next to ensure colour consistency. 

Load up you brush or roller with lots of paint and apply evenly.

As mentioned, if you are painting over a contrasting bold colour, we recommend a light sand and two coats, leaving 2-4 hours between coats. Touch dry in one hour.

Do not thin the paint.
