Ronseal 15 Year Protection Direct To Metal Paint
Provides a tough and durable finish for your metal. This paint is water based with no priming necessary and minimal preparation required, making this the perfect answer for your outdoor or indoor needs.
Compatible surfaces are interior & exterior bare metal, cast iron, galvanised steel, aluminium, stainless steel, wood & PVC
To apply, firstly make sure to choose a dry day when rain is not expected and the temperature is above 10°C. Prepare bare metal by removing any loose rust with a wire brush or 120 grit abrasive paper. If the metal has been previously painted, then any flaking paint or rust should be removed in the same way. Paint that is in good condition should be lightly sanded with 240 grit paper to provide a key. Once this is done, wipe the surface down with a damp cloth to make sure the surface is clean and free from grease and allow to dry.
Stir the paint thoroughly for 2-3 minutes and apply with a brush or roller. 2 coats will be enough for a smooth surface but a third coat will give maximum durability, especially when going onto a rusty surface.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
