How much do I need?
Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Stain lasts up to twice as long compared to traditional decking stains, giving your decking maximum weather and UV protection. Ronseal Ultimate Decking Stain is the premium product in the Ronseal deck protection range, it works like an oil - looks like a stain.
How To Use Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Stain
To prepare the deck firstly ensure that it is clean and dry. If there is algal or fungal contamination, this can be removed with Decking Cleaner and Reviver. This will also restore the wood’s normal colour if it has greyed from sunlight and will help the stain adhere to the wood.
If a deck has previously been oiled or painted then use a Decking Stripper to get back to bare wood. This will also be necessary if you wish to use a light stain over a darker colour.
New decks sometimes have a basic waterproofing treatment. If water beads on the surface then this will be the case. You can either remove the treatment with the Cleaner and Reviver or simply allow the deck to weather for around 6 months.
Once the deck is completely dry, the stain should be applied on a dry day when the temperature is above 10°C. Stir thoroughly and apply by brush or applicator pad. Allow 4 hours before applying the second coat. The deck will be ready for use 24 hours after the final coat.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
