How much do I need?
Osmo Extra Thin Wood Wax Finish Clear is suitable for a wide range of hardwood interior surfaces, including wall and ceiling panelling, wooden flooring, furniture and kitchen worktops. Due to its water-resistant qualities, it is especially well suited for use in wet / moisture-rich environments, such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Its thin consistency makes it particularly suitable for use on dense, oily or resinous hardwoods such as Meranti, Wenge, Merbau, Teak, Walnut, Cedar, Iroko, Mahogany etc. It is resistant to common domestic spillages such as water, juice, tea, coffee, cola and wine, leaving a microporous satin finish that will not flake, crack, peel or blister. It is safe for use on children's toys and is compliant with the EN71.3 safety standard.
Before applying ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free from any previous coating. Dense exotic hardwoods are typically quite oily, so the wood will need to have a natural moisture content of less than 18%. It is also good practice to degrease these wood types with White Spirit and a lint free cloth.
Apply evenly in the direction of the grain using a brush or lint free cloth. Leave for 30 minutes then wipe away any excess oil. Allow 12 hours drying time before applying a second coat (if needed) in the same manner. Cabinet drawers or interiors will require one thin coat applied by cloth.
Routine cleaning would simply require occasionally wiping over with a lint free cloth. Dirt and light scuff marks can be removed with Osmo Spray Cleaner. Regular cleaning can be done with Osmo Wash and Care 8016. Deeper cleaning to remove stubborn marks or light scratches can be done with Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner. This can also revitalise a worn looking surface.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.

If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
