This version of Mirka's PROS air sander features an 8mm orbit for aggressive sanding of larger areas, typically with coarser abrasives, and is for use in workshops equipped with an air compressor. When attached to a dust extractor, it delivers maximum dust removal even at low suction power, achieved by a wider, more efficient suction outlet in the sander's housing.

It is good practice to replace the backing pad once it starts to become worn in order to keep the sander working at it's best. The life of the backing pad will be extended by using pad savers. Better quality results on contoured surfaces can be achieved with the use of interface pads.
