Grit
Galaxy is a revolutionary new abrasive from Mirka. The grit has a ceramic component and has been designed not to go dull in use. Once the edge of the abrasive grain breaks off it forms new edges, allowing Galaxy to continue to perform well from edge to edge. The self-sharpening grains give an outstanding combination of long life, fast cut and the scratch pattern produced by the finer grits is easy to polish out. It gives outstanding edge wear characteristics and is resistant to clogging
Galaxy employs Mirka's new Multi-fit system. This provides a hole configuration that allows abrasives to be used on any machine without the need for specific alignment due to optimised hole placement. This means abrasives can be replaced quickly as there is no need to match the holes on the disc to those on the backing pad.
Galaxy is available in a wide variety of grits making it an excellent choice for anything from aggressive actions such as stock removal to finer applications like polishing. It is suitable for sanding soft and hard materials and various substrates.
Potential Uses:
Paint Process: Galaxy's fast cut is well suited for paint removal, feathering paint edges and blending paint as part of a collision repair process. With the wide range of grits there will be a suitable Galaxy disc for every stage of the process.
Solid Surface: The consistent scratch pattern and fast cut makes Galaxy a good choice for solid surfaces such as Corian. The range of grits can contribute towards matt, satin, gloss or high gloss finishes.
Sanding and Polishing Gelcoat: Galaxy can sand gelcoat in stages starting with 240 grit going through to 1200 grit. The finer grits (800, 1000, 1200) would be used with the Mirka Net Interface. The polishing stage would involve various polishing compounds, lambs wool pads and waffle pads.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.

If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
