UK Mainland Deliveries

May Spring Bank Holiday Weekend (23rd-25th May 2026): Our warehouse will be closed over the bank holiday weekend.

All orders placed after 4pm on Friday 22nd May will be dispatched on Tuesday 26th May.

Order before 4pm on Thursday 21st May to receive your items before the bank holiday weekend.

If you order after 4pm on Thursday 21st May and before 4pm on Friday 22nd May, your item will be delivered on Tuesday 26th May.

Normal next day service will resume on Tuesday 26th May.

Returns Policy

Description

Mirka Abralon J3 is a premium multifunctional finishing abrasive designed to produce an ultra-fine finish on both smooth and profiled surfaces. Featuring a high-density 3mm foam backing, it conforms easily to curves, contours and intricate shapes while delivering a highly consistent sanding result.

Developed specifically for high gloss finishing applications, Abralon J3 leaves an exceptionally smooth surface ready for polishing. Its unique woven construction allows water and air to pass freely through the abrasive, making it suitable for both wet and dry sanding while helping to reduce clogging and improve surface quality.

The deeper 3mm foam layer allows the abrasive to follow contours and surface variations more effectively than conventional abrasives. This helps reduce the risk of cutting through edges while producing a more uniform finish across curved and shaped surfaces.

It can be used on the following surfaces: aluminium, hardwood, mild & carbon steel, non-ferrous metal, lacquers, plastics, solid surface, stainless steel, copper alloys, brass, bronze, glass fibre.

Top tips

Mirka Abralon J3 is designed for fine finishing and surface refinement. For heavier stock removal or initial sanding operations, begin with a more aggressive abrasive before progressing to Abralon J3 for final finishing.
Work progressively through the abrasive grades for the best polishing results.
Use wet sanding where appropriate to achieve the finest possible scratch pattern.
Allow the foam backing to conform naturally to curved surfaces rather than applying excessive pressure.
Keep the surface clean throughout sanding to maintain a consistent finish.
