Liberon Superior Danish Oil protects and feeds hard and soft woods with a blend of natural oils including pure tung oil. This brings out the natural grain of the wood and achieves a satin to gloss sheen.

Liberon Superior Danish Oil contains UV filters which prevent discolouration from the sun and is suitable for exterior and interior use. Liberon Superior Danish Oil has a quick drying formula, is water, heat and alcohol resistant and is completely safe for toys.

Preparation:  For interior woodwork ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any previous finishes.  Old wax deposits can be treated with Wax and Polish Remover and varnishes can be taken off with a suitable remover.  If required, the wood can be stained with Palette Dye before oiling.

For exterior woodwork, make sure the surface is clean and dry and free from decaying timber.  Surface greying or mould will also need to be removed as this may cause the timber to blacken.   Greying timber can be restored to its original colour with the use of a wood reviver and Liberon Garden Furniture Cleaner will take care of mould growth.

Application:  Apply with a brush or lint-free cloth and allow 5-10 minutes for the oil to absorb into the wood before wiping away any surplus with a clean lint-free cloth.  Allow 5 hours to dry and apply as many coats as needed - a minimum of 3 coats is recommended but 4 or more will be needed for exposed exterior wood.  For the best result, rub gently with ultra fine steel wool (grade 0000) between coats.

Danish oil may not stop exterior oak timbers blackening over time where the timber is exposed to high moisture levels.
