Description

Liberon Pure Tung Oil is the finest, untreated, pure oil for wood care.

The most suitable oil for external oak and is ideal for use on surfaces coming into contact with food such as kitchen worktops, salad bowls, chopping boards, etc.

Liberon Pure Tung Oil is water, heat and alcohol resistant and gives a long lasting matt finish.
Recommended for use inside and out and EN71 Approved for use on children's toys. Suitable for use on external Oak.

To prepare, ensure the wood surface is bare and free from any previous finish.  Treat any old wax deposits with Wax and Polish Remover and remove varnish with Fine Wood Stripper.

Apply with a brush or lint-free cloth.  To ease application, the first one or two coats can be diluted up to 50% with White Spirit.  Allow the oil to absorb for 20-30 minutes, then wipe away any surplus with a clean lint-free cloth then allow to dry for 24 hours before applying the next coat.  Apply further coats in the same way as the first but reducing the amount of White Spirit with subsequent coats.  Apply the last one or two coats undiluted.  After the final coat has been applied leave for 24 hours and wipe over to aid drying and remove any oil that might have come to the surface.  4 coats minimum is recommended with more coats advised for porous or external surfaces.  To achieve the best finish, rub down with Ultra Fine Steel Wool (grade 0000).  Items of furniture can be finished with Black Bison Paste Wax for increased lustre.

Return Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues 
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items 
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges 
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds 
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
