Key Features
Liberon Anti-slip Coating has been designed to give an assured non-slip surface on very smooth and humid interior and exterior floorings. It is suitable for use on cement, concrete, stone, paving and wood. Liberon Anti-slip Coating is recommended for areas such as patios, decking, utility rooms and swimming pools. It has a clear finish and will not change the appearance of the surface. It is water resistant and also offers UV protection.
Liberon Anti-slip Coating is a water-based product and therefore not suitable for use on surfaces previously treated with solvent-based oils as this will cause the Anti Slip Coating to be repelled.
How To Use Liberon Anti Slip Coating
In preparation, ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free from any grease oil or wax. Stir the tin thoroughly, both before and during the application process. The product can be applied by brush or medium pile roller. Two coats are often enough but particularly porous surfaces may need a third coat. If so, wait 3 hours before applying. It will be touch dry after 30 minutes but leave for a further 12 hours before subjecting the surface to use. The ideal temperature range for application is between 10-25°C. It is recommended that a top up coat is applied annually (or more frequently if needed) in high foot traffic areas.
* Please note that this product is not suited to use on new hardwoods. If the wood is densely grained and has a high natural moisture content then it will need to remain untreated for around 12 months. This is to allow the wood pores to open up and the moisture to evaporate away, otherwise the treatment may not adhere or absorb properly.
