How much do I need?
Barrettine Premier Water Seal is a deep absorbing, solvent based microporous water protection treatment. It leaves a breathable membrane which allows moisture vapour from within the substrate to naturally evaporate whilst protecting against water damage, drying to a matt finish. It is suitable for use on brick, aged concrete, render, pointing, terracotta and wood, excluding plywood. When used on wood it is recommended that a wood treatment is used to enhance the appearance.
It is also compatible with canvas, meaning it can be used for waterproofing tents, tarpaulins and groundsheets. Application by dipping will give the best results in this case.
Application can be by brush, roller, sprayer or dipping. Some surfaces can be darkened after treatment, so a test patch in a discrete area should be done first.
Barrettine Water Seal should only be used when both the air and surface temperature are above 5°C. Two coats will generate the best results on very porous surfaces, where the second coat should be applied before the first has dried. The surface will usually be dry and water repellent after 48 hours. Clean tools afterwards with White Spirit. Do not empty any containers into drains or watercourses.
If required, it can be over-coated with oil-based stain or paint after 3 days. A water-based coating can be used but not until 60 to 90 days after the Water Seal has been applied. It should not be used over a freshly painted surface. The best results are achieved on bare or weathered surfaces
Barrettine Water Seal is clear, almost colourless and will provide years of effective water protection simply by adhering to the application instructions and coverage guidelines.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
