Ureka UP4145 One Shot Cascamite Powder Urea Resin
Description
Description
Aerolite One Shot glue is a Urea Powdered Resin glue that has been used by generations of Boat Builders, Joiners, Cabinet Makers and Antique restorers. Simply add water at a ratio of 2 parts glue to 1 part water by weight, mix into a paste and apply.  It is an excellent choice for either hot or cold veneer pressing.
UP4145 conforms to European class C3 EN12765. Full strength and final water resistance will be achieved a few days after pressing. Pressing time should be increased if the joined is liable to be strained after removal of the pressure.
Prior to application, ensure that the surfaces to be glued are free from oil, fat, dust or other potential contaminants. Aerolite will give it's highest bond strength when the moisture content of the wood is between 6-15%. (If pressing veneers higher moisture content in the wood can lead to over-absorption of the glue, risking bleed through into the veneer). Apply the glue thinly to one surface, assemble the joint and apply full clamping pressure as soon as possible. If using light clamping pressure it would be best to apply the glue to both surfaces.
