How To Use Ronseal One Coat Decking Stripper

When using this product, choose a dry day when the temperature is above 10°C. In cooler temperatures it may take longer to dry or perhaps not work at all. Very hot temperatures or direct sunlight may cause this product to dry out too quickly, so do not use in temperatures above 25°C. Nearby plants and grass should be protected with dust sheets. Remove any loose debris with a stiff brush. It can be applied to a damp deck but not if it’s completely wet.

Give the tin a good shake and while wearing protective gloves apply directly to the deck, spreading it out with a stiff brush. Work in small sections and once applied allow 30 minutes for the stripper to work. Test the surface with a scraper and the old finish should lift off. If not, apply more stripper and leave for a further 10-15 minutes.

Scrub with a stiff brush, occasionally pouring on water to help the process. To finish, wash down thoroughly with a hose or jet wash. Once the deck has completely dried it can be re-finished.
