Description

Mylands HB is a range of water-based single pack lacquers suitable for general purpose lacquering of interior surfaces. They can be applied coat on coat or over HB Water Based Sealer. The matt version has a sheen level of 10% and satin is 40% and will dry to a durable finish with excellent flow, clarity and surface feel.

Before use stir the lacquer well to make sure any settlement is properly reincorporated, otherwise the correct sheen may not be reproduced. Shaking the container would not mix well enough.

This lacquer is intended for spray application in an environment where the temperature exceeds 15°C. Cooler temperatures may result in poor film formation.

Denib between coats with a 320 grit abrasive. When using the Matt lacquer it is recommended that if applying coat on coat a higher sheen basecoat is used to maintain clarity. These lacquers are supplied at the correct viscosity and would not usually need to be thinned. If thinning is required then use water at a ratio of no more than 5%.

A minimum of 7 days should be allowed before subjecting the finished item to use. Full clarity will be achieved after 7-14 days and full cure and hardness after 21-28 days.
