Rustins Plastic Floor Coating - is a two-part, cold cure floor lacquer that has first-rate adhesion and long lasting performance. It is guaranteed not to craze or yellow with age and is an almost colourless lacquer.
Rustins Plastic Floor Coating is resistant to abrasion, scratching, most solvents, weak acids and alkalis. Rustins Plastic Floor Coating can be used on wood, cork, MDF, hardboard, slate and vinyl tiles.
Rustins Plastic Floor Coating is quick drying and a second or third coat can be reapplied after approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours. The floor in question can receive light foot traffic in just two-three hours after the last coat has been applied.
To prepare, ensure the floor is clean, dry and free from any wax polish. Remove any previous wax finishes thoroughly with grade 3 wire wool and white spirits. Fill any small holes with Wood Stop and sand the floor back to bare wood. Larger cracks, joints or imperfections can be filled using a Joint Filler gel mixed with your sawdust.
A few drops of water on the sanded floor will give an indication as to the final floor colour once Rustins Plastic Floor Coating has been applied. If a different colour is required, stain the floor using Rustins Wood Dye which is available in a wide range of colours.
Apply with a Flooring Brush or a large good quality hand brush liberally and evenly, going with the grain. Apply in temperatures between 15-25°C - do not apply if it is below 15°. Hardwoods usually only need two coats but softwoods or cork will need three. High traffic commercial floors may need a 4th coat. Stir well both before and during use. If this is not done then a satin finish may dry glossy.

Brush cleaning: Clean brushes immediately after use with the Rustins Thinners provided in the pack.

Returns Policy
If you have mis-ordered, don’t require the item or have been sent an item not ordered, please notify us within 30 days of receipt and we will accept the return.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unmanaged and unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase or request a returns reference to enclose in the package.
To start a return, you can contact us at customer.service@restorate.co.uk. We will talk to you about the nature of your return. If we have sent an item that isn’t on your order, or is exceptional circumstances, we will organise a collection.
If you, the customer, have mistakenly ordered an item, given incorrect delivery details, or no longer wish the item, it is your responsibility and your liability to return the item in re-saleable condition in order to receive a refund for the value that the item was purchased for.
