{"product_id":"polyvine-interior-extreme-varnish","title":"Polyvine Interior Extreme Varnish","description":"\u003cp\u003ePolyvine Interior Extreme Varnish is a water-based cross-linked polyurethane varnish with advanced resin technology that gives an exceptional level of protection from a single pack product.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExtreme Varnish can be used for interior or exterior jobs and contains UV blockers to protect against greying plus biocides to guard against mildew, mould or fungus.  It also offers high levels of protection from heat and chemicals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis varnish can be used on a variety of surfaces including wood, paintwork, marine, concrete paving, unglazed tiles, slate and brick.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn preparation, ensure that the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any previous finishes or potential contaminants such as oil or grease.  Oily woods can be degreased with Methylated Spirit.  If applying to wood, sand in the direction of the grain to provide a key.  Remove any dust with a \u003ca rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Mirka Tack Cloth\" href=\"https:\/\/restorate.co.uk\/products\/mirka-tack-cloth-320-x-400mm-pack-of-10\" target=\"_blank\"\u003etack cloth\u003c\/a\u003e.  New and weathered wood should be sanded first with \u003ca title=\"Mirka Hiomant Sanding Roll\" href=\"https:\/\/restorate.co.uk\/products\/mirka-hiomant-sanding-roll\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eP80-120 grit for vertical surfaces and P60-80\u003c\/a\u003e for horizontal.  If it is possible that the wood is contaminated with fungus or pollen spores it should first be treated with a \u003ca title=\"Barrettine Premier Universal Preserver Clear 5 Litres\" href=\"https:\/\/restorate.co.uk\/products\/barrettine-premier-universal-preserver-clear-5-litres\" target=\"_blank\"\u003epreservative\u003c\/a\u003e as spores trapped below the clear varnish could discolour the surface if exposed to moisture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMix the varnish well but do not shake.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf applying to porous surfaces or to new softwood the first coat should be diluted 10% with water.  Lightly sand wood in between coats if the grain raises.
