For wood and metal, Mylands specifically recommends its Multi-Surface Primer instead.

On fresh plaster, getting the primer onto the surface evenly is important because differences in porosity can otherwise show through the topcoat.

For patch repairs, make sure the repaired area is properly sanded and free from dust before priming. This is where a dedicated wall primer can make a noticeable difference to the consistency of the final finish.

If you're working over lining paper, a light coat can help reduce the risk of visible joins showing through the finished paintwork.

Why choose Mylands paint?

The two main considerations when buying paint are colour and coverage.
