The Christmas period this year is a particularly busy one for carriers. Increased demand, weather and industrial action disruption has resulted in delays for all.
Due to Royal Mail & Parcel Force strikes, adverse weather conditions and usual Christmas delivery demand, all carriers are struggling to achieve next day delivery (our standard next day service). We have been told by DPD and DX that most deliveries are taking 1-2 days with occasional 2 day delays depending on how regional depots are coping with the factors mentioned.
We advise that if customers wish to have their deliveries prior to Christmas Eve, orders should be placed on or before Monday 19th December. We, at Restorate, will be operating and sending out parcels until 2pm on Friday 23rd December.
